Real Wedding: Work of Heart

We're so excited to finally be able to share Gina + Craig's wedding with you all today and to see our work featured on Martha Stewart Weddings! Inspired by our bride's love for art and the venue (SD Museum of Art), the theme for this fun and creative celebration of love was "Work of Heart." We love the whimsical/bohemian vibe, water color details and bursts of color! Enjoy!

Pitbulls and Posies designed these custom invitations, including response cards asking guests to color in their answer for if they would come help the couple "paint the town."

This photo is why we love first looks! There's just something so sweet and special about a private moment between the bride and groom and the raw emotion that it brings out. Our bride Gina says that "one of our best decisions for the wedding day was doing a first look. This was beyond special for us and the suspense was killer! It was so amazing to get those special photos of the emotions...and it gave us more time for more photos!"

One of our favorite details was the watercolor effect of the ombre petaled aisle created by Twigg Botanicals paired with a custom calligraphy canvas displaying the couple's favorite song, "So Happy Together" by the Turtles.

Each place setting held a questionnaire for each guest reading, "Life is a great big canvas, throw all the paint on it you can!" Guests were prompted to share marriage advice with the couple (using colored pencils), which all together served as the couple's "guestbook."

We love doing creative escort displays for our clients and this was one was a gem! Constructing a giant lit up display case, we led guests to their tables with gathered sliced agate and gold vinyl lettering.

Colored pencils, custom sharpeners for each table and painted palettes are details that tied the artistic theme together paired with romantic blooms that sat upon paint dyed wood blocks.

As the owner of Petunia's Baking Co, our bride Gina loves to create sweet treats! This inspired us to create an extra special dessert table made up of fun baking ingredients with some help from Wendy Ware Calligraphy, while reminding guests that the secret ingredient is always LOVE.   And how beautiful is that cake that Sweet Cheeks Baking Co. designed with watercolor brush strokes?

We couldn't ask for a better team to help us paint the night beautiful for Gina & Craig and we wish them a lifetime of colorful happiness and Love!
