Real Wedding Wednesday: Tea For Two

Jamie and Ryan are one of those sweeter than sweet couples that make you think you are living in a different era with their pure hearts. These beautiful actors first met during grad school at UC Irvine and their love continued despite temporarily living on opposite coastlines. While Jamie was in New York, Ryan would read books to her over video chat until she fell asleep. Such a memorable time in their relationship that we wanted to give a nod to their story book romance.  Bookmarks served as favors for each guest and tea time inspired elements also found their way into the decor as a gesture to one of their favorite ways to pass the time together.
The Darlington House's soft ambiance was a perfect fit for this occasion. As guests arrived they left their words of wisdom on tea cup shaped paper in a variation of peachy hues. The ceremony was then conducted by their dear friends. The couple's nuptials were nothing short of amazing and had us holding back the tears!

After wiping a tear or two away, guests were greeted by our custom backdrop's message to enjoy a spot of tea along with hanging tea cups. Attached to each cup were paper elements by Peanut Press Creative that resembled tea bags with the guests tea inspired table names.  Atop the tables were assortments of garden roses, hydrangea, and dahlias created by Adrianne Smith Florals. They filled the reception with romance and a beautiful garden aroma.

We could not give guests tea without dessert! An assortment of warm pies and cake by Elizabethan Bakery were enjoyed by all. As the evening came to an end guests partied on the dance floor and melted as the bride danced with her groom and then her father.

We feel so blessed to know Jamie and Ryan and be a special part of their day! Thank you Irish Grzanich for capturing the memories of this day with your beautiful photography!
