Happy New Year to all of our dear readers out there! We're excited and looking forward to 2012 and a whole new group of unique and beautiful weddings that are on the horizon that we can't wait to share! In the meantime, we'd thought we'd take the opportunity to look back at some of our favorite weddings that still hold a tender place in our hearts from 2011. We're pulling this one from the Archives and it seems only appropriate that this lovely wedding should lead the way. Just a year ago we were ringing in the New Year with this sweet couple on their wedding day and helping them to celebrate in the most endearing of ways. Remember this Inspiration board? Here is how we brought it to life!

Some of my favorite images are always those when the bride and groom is greeted by their family after they come out of the Temple.

When a bride comes to us and describes her style as Anthropologie we always know we’re going to hit it off! That’s exactly how the beginning of our three month planning started with Brittany. Brittany + Scott came to us with their venue already selected...The Admiral Kidd Club Military base in San Diego and a perfect backdrop for Brittany and Scott's nautical themed New Year's wedding. The guiding and grounding influences of the people in their lives were our inspiration behind their concept, as we played with anchors and lanterns and their underlying meaning, woven with an eclectic mix of vintage and modern touches.

We loved Brittany's gorgeous seaside bouquet created by Twigg botanicals made up of garden roses, anemones, dusty miller and wrapped in creamy burlap.

I love that Brittany and Scott found time for a sail around the bay together before their reception. What could be better than a little alone time to soak in your first moments as husband and wife? Iris and Light of course was there to capture all of the dreamy moments on film.

As soon as guests arrived to the reception location they were greeted by Brittany + Scott circling the bay in a sailboat. Once they disembarked, the party was ready to get under way.

Brightly Designed crafted all of the gorgeous paper elements for the nautical-inspired day. Combining elements that we found such as thick rope, anchors and lanterns with little sailboat flags and Twigg's gorgeous flowers, we completed the seaside tablescape. A sign directed guests to "let the wind guide them to their seats" as they found their names among boats filled with babies breath and anemones.

We loved the gobo image that we had created to project on to their dance floor!

Once inside, tables were decorated in aqua blue linens to resemble the ocean and accented with sherbet orange napkins and wicker chargers. We loved this color combination! The sherbet really updated the typical nautical colors and made it fresh and modern. Table numbers were leafed in copper and overlapped the beautiful anchors and floral design- the perfect accent to the aqua and orange pairing.

Guests were greeted with adorable hand written thank you notes by the couple. We worked closely with Courtney from Brightly Designed to create the fun signage throughout their wedding and custom designed letters with the front reading “You have always been a guiding light or an anchor in our lives”. It was such a sweet and big undertaking on the part of Brittany + Scott to hand write each letter but it did not go unnoticed! Guests seemed to really enjoy the thoughtful personal touch that they found when they arrived to their tables.

The beautiful and delicious cake was made by Sweet Cheeks Baking Co.

We appropriately named the head table " The Crew" and this was such a fun group!

Since Brittany’s favorite treat is ice cream, how could we resist the addition of a sundae bar? C’mon that’s our favorite treat too! Maggie Moo’s supplied the most delicious ice creams and gourmet toppings. We couldn’t help ourselves either from creating some funny names for the flavors, such as Sco Co’s (Scott Colton) Dark Coco, Britt’s Brownie Batter, and Anchors Aweigh Mango Sorbet to name a few! In addition, we had little flags made that read "merrily, merrily" and "life is but ice cream" to play on our motto for the day.

One of the most touching aspects of the evening was the Guiding Light table that was created in honor of Brittany’s father, who was a Captain in the Navy and passed away from Non-Smoker’s Lung Cancer. He had been a hero to her in more ways than one and it was clear that they had a very special relationship. While we knew that this day was about Brittany and Scott, we also knew that in the large scope of things it was also about family and we wanted to make sure that his memory was included as well. Mixed among all different lanterns were pictures of Brittany’s father throughout the years as well as quotes. It was another great way to feel his presence at the wedding.

The happy couple was sent off in true New Years fashion as guests were given bells to ring as the two departed.

Brittany and Scott we have loved looking back on your wedding day and all the little touches that made it so uniquely yours. The day truly was "but a dream" and we were so grateful to be a part of it. We know you have sailed into marital bliss and wish you all the best as you continue your voyage together! What Luck

Love at first Bite

With the Twilight Saga continuing and Breaking Dawn in the theaters this week , we thought this would be the perfect time to share our Twilight and Sleepy Hollow inspired wedding with all of you. Some of you may have already seen it on Green Wedding Shoes but we just couldn't resist posting it here ourselves!

We love couples who think outside the box and are open to doing something that has never been done before! We got just that, when we started working with the sweetest couple, Lora + Gary!

Lora + Gary are from the U.K. but wanted to have their dream wedding here in sunny California! We only got to meet a couple of times with them in person and did over a year's worth of planning with them via email! So you can imagine our surprise one day when the couple emailed us wanting a Twilight meets Sleepy Hollow meets Tru Blood feel for their wedding. We were thrilled and could not wait to start brainstorming ideas. We knew we had to incorporate pumpkins, old world scripts, antiquated silvers, tons of candles, and eerily romantic quotes from the movies so the guests would really get the inspiration behind the whole event.

The couple had fallen in love with the Figueroa Mountain Farmhouse, where the weathered wood and natural setting seemed to be the ideal backdrop for this hauntingly beautiful and elegant affair. The only challenge was bringing the feel to life in the middle of a bright and sunny August day!

Nicole Deanne did a great job on all of the ladies make-up! Lora was a complete knock-out!!

Such a sweet moment! Love when the mother of the bride gets the first peek!

The couple had an adorable first look! The hid on either side of this old truck and then popped out and exchanged love letters with one another...what a great way to start the wedding!

We knew the perfect addition to the team would be Kate from Flowerwild, whose loose and romantic arrangements were spot on with the vintage theme. Kate and her team did a breathtaking job translating the colors and inspiration perfectly into each floral masterpiece.

Can we take a moment to admire Lora's jewelry...did you see her killer headpiece? Out of this world gorgeous!

We thought the wine box ceremony that JP Reynolds officiated was just the sweetest and neatest idea! The couple tucked away a favorite bottle of wine along with letters in a wooden box, to be opened on their 5 year anniversary.

Since Lora + Gary were such a joy to work with it made all of the design decisions seem easy! First we selected a color palette that would work for the summer wedding yet fall theme....ice blue, ivory, rich chestnut with touches of burlap, and of course blood orange.

The escort card table helped set the mood immediately for guests. We used pumpkins of different shapes and sizes to display "scrolls" with guests' name and the name of their table, which were named after the spooky towns that house the vampires and headless horsemen...Sleepy Hollow, Forks, and Bon Temps!

Anatomical heart with the words "thump, thump." What could be more perfectly eerie and romantic?

Creepy black crows held up the banner over the escort card table that read "Bitten and Smitten."

Instead of a traditional guest book, they had a family photo table that displayed Lora + Gary's "Bloodline."

Since all of Lora + Gary's guests were from overseas, they really wanted their favors to be a little piece of California, and what could be better than California Poppy Seeds that guests could plant on their own?We couldn't resist spooking the favor up! We put the packages of seeds in burlap bags that read "Dawn is breaking." Guests were surprised to also find a scroll with eerie instructions on how to properly bury their seeds!

Lora + Gary are also an incredibly romantic couple and wanted their wedding to incorporate sentimental notions as well. To further decorate the tables and to bring a sweet element to the mix, we compiled and framed our favorite romantic quotes from Twilight, Sleepy Hollow, and Tru Blood. A favorite was "before you my life was like a moonless night." Cori from Brightly Designed created all of the paper elements that perfectly mixed romantic vintage with subtle dark accents.

Found vintage props, such as shadow boxes, old binoculars, vintage quills and ink wells enhanced the table decor.

Kate was awesome in helping us with our last minute request of adding Garlic cloves to accent the tables. These, in addition to the blood oranges we tracked down and sliced, added an unexpected element to the dining table and dessert table props that hinted at the vampire undertones.

U.K. tradition to throw confetti at the happy couple. Such a beautiful shot, love that they did this earlier on in the evening!

Toasts were a riot! As you can tell from Lora's face, no embarrassing story was left untold. Don't worry, Gary got his fair share too!

Guests got a kick out of the dessert table that housed salted caramel macaroons, mini cupcakes, and mini cheesecakes. It was definitely "Love at First Bite!"

Brandon Kidd Photography snuck the couple out of the reception for these amazing sunset shots! These could not be anymore beautiful-definitely a perk to having your venue in the middle of nowhere.

There's no better way to spend the night than dancing it away! Congratulations Lora + Gary we will treasure working with you forever! Thanks again to Brandon Kidd for these stunning images- the weekend would have not been the same without you guys!

Engaging: Amber + Matt

We are so delighted to share these engagement photos taken of our upcoming bride and groom, Amber and Matt! These two make quite a pair and we're excited to get to know them more as the planning unfolds! Just a few things we've already learned....

These jet-setters met at JFK airport as they waited to board a flight to Spain, where they would study abroad. They may be taking another memorable oversees trip for their honeymoon, as they plan on going to Bali. Even though they are so well traveled they are definitely an All American couple....they share a love for country music, specifically Kenny Chesney and wouldn't prefer to live anywhere else than sunny San Diego!

This photo session is especially dear to our hearts as their photographer, Nicole from Clarity by Nicole Photography, was a previous bride of ours! You may remember her to-die-for wedding as the Baseball Wedding.

We are thrilled to be working with such a darling couple on their August 2012 wedding. Congratulations Amber and Matt!

We are so excited to have Whitney join our team! She just started interning with us last week and already she is proving herself invaluable. This girl has serious style for miles...just look at her dreamy inspiration board! Who wouldn't want to dive right into this French inspired fête?

Here is a little bit about the board straight from Whit...

"My personal style is very romantic and girly, with whimsical and elegant, timeless touches. I wanted my inspiration board to reflect all aspects of my personal style, and what time period can reflect that better than French Rococo? I love the dusty plum, blue and rose color combination that adds a soft freshness to this dramatic and glamorous French style. And what girly-girl doesn't love pearls, diamonds, bows, lace and feather detailing?"

Where do you find inspiration?

I find my inspiration everywhere! From historical time periods, architecture and art to nature, magazines and blogs! My favorite wedding blogs for inspiration are Style Me Pretty and Snippet & Ink.

What do you love most about weddings/parties?

I love all of the details that get put into weddings that are unique to each bride and groom's personal style. I love seeing the different elements used to create something truly special and memorable to them.

What is your favorite memory from your own wedding?

I loved the dancing at our wedding. We had a great DJ that got everyone on the dance floor and got the party going! The dance with my Dad was also really special to me...

What are your guilty pleasures?

There are too many to count...but cupcakes, gossip magazines and gallons of diet coke would be just a few.

What fall treat are you looking forward to?

I can't wait to pull out all of my boots and tights, eat some pumpkin flavored foods and enjoy some cool, crisp fall days. Fall is definitely my favorite time of year.

April + Aaron's Summer of Love

A Classic Combination

Ice cold milk and an oreo cookie... they forever go together like a classic combination... just like our cute couple Jessica and Jesse. Yes, this is the jingle I had stuck in my head as we put the finishing touches on their wedding. We have been wanting to share this one for some time now and have been caught up with wedding season but are pulling this one out of the archives...just for some fun and to well...get the jingle stuck in your head to.

These sweet love birds came to us with just a couple specific requests for the feel of the wedding; that it be formal and timeless. After getting to know them a bit better, we found out that Jesse had a love for Oreos and Jessica for peacocks. What is more regal than a peacock? And what more timeless and classic than the ol' black and white favorite....Oreos! Sounds like a tricky combination but by using elements of both inspirations, we created a completely unique and timeless wedding for this classy couple!

Jessica looked absolutely breath taking on the big day! We adore the traditional jewelry and birdcage veil she donned. Jamie Hammond did a stellar job capturing the whole day and of course these gorgeous shots of the bride!

Further proving that the couple has excellent taste, Twigg Botanicals was brought in to create all of the personal flowers as well as the reception florals. Twigg used beautiful vintage looking flowers (anemones, Juliet roses, etc.) as well as guinea feathers and pale bleached peacock feathers in Jessica's stunning bouquet.

Jesse looking very dapper on his big day! Love that Twigg incorporated the feathers into his bout as well!

Look at that sisterly love! Jessica's younger sister made a beautiful bridesmaid. All of the bridesmaids were outfitted in chic LBD's with vintage brooches fastened to the waist for a glamorous touch!

What's a group of peacocks called? Anyone? A PARTY of course! Our bridal party was no exception. Lots of fun with this group! Love this shot of them goofing around at the beach! The bridesmaid bouquets were punched up a bit by adding in purple and green florals as well as vibrant peacock feathers. They looked drop dead gorgeous and really popped against the girls' black dresses!

So in love with this picture of Jessica- she just looks so classically beautiful!

Can't forget about the precious flower girls decked out in there black and white best! Sooo cute!

Jesse and Jessica fell in Love with the Thursday Club after our first walk through! It was really the perfect place to hold their reception with it being a historic building full of charm. We especially loved the vintage touches throughout the building and the overall grand feeling of the main room. It even had a stage-perfect to elevate their traditional head table. Oooh and those chandeliers!

Colors played a prominent role in this wedding to really set the tone. Table linens were selected in shades of peacock green and blue with teal napkins to really add a punch of color to each place-setting! We loved how the colors even being so bright, looked so refined and elegant.

What else would Jesse and Jessica give their guests as favors other than Oreos? The pair chose decadent chocolate covered ones wrapped up in little boxes to greet each guest at their seat. Brightly Designed created the custom packaging and we were are especially fond of the tags that were made to hint at the treat inside!

The patio was a hot spot for guests during this spring wedding. Who can resist delicious aquas frescas?

Instead of creating a candy station for the happy couple, we just had to incorporate an Oreo bar in honor of Jesse's favorite cookie! You can not believe how many different types of Oreos there are... We had them all from Double Stuf to Cakesters to Fudge Cream!

The Oreo bar was definitely a hit with guests young and old! We even had little goodie bags for those who wanted to take the delicious treats on the road...

The head table was quite a work of art. Displaying it on the stage really set it apart from the guest dining tables and gave the whole reception a grander feel. We added "curly willow" accents that hinted at the tail of a peacock.

The beautifully traditional and delicious cake was from VG Bakery in Cardiff. Twigg brought some fun by adding purple blossoms and peacock feathers to accents the tiers. We also created a custom purple cake box to match and elevate the grand cake. As a nod to the past the couple chose to adorn the cake with a vintage topper who coincidentally shared the same ensemble as Jesse.

Awww these black and white shots by Jamie Hammond are favorites! They definitely fit the classic theme perfectly. So sweet!

Congratulations to Jesse & Jessica! We had so much fun planning your wedding! These two really are a classic combination that will forever go together.

James + Alex: Breakthrough Performance

Engaging: Nikki + Andrew

We have just the thing to share with you on this lovely summer's day-- a super fun fishing-inspired engagement shoot! The bride and groom are adventurous and fish lovers, which is why this shoot was an absolute perfect fit. We are loving all the cute details like the little plush fishies, bright yellow rain boots, the gone fishing print made by the bride, and the giant stuffed fish made by bride and groom. What a great team! Of course these beyond gorgeous shots were captured by the uber talented Caroline Tran....

Seriously!? What an amazing idea, that giant stuffed fish, made for the most adorable pictures ever!!

Too cute for words! You can tell Nikki and Andrew are such a fun couple, the type of couple every one wants to be friends with...

Every single picture out of this bunch is amazing! Thanks so much to Caroline Tran and of course to the couple for being so dang cute and creative!!

One of my favorites! Of course I love all of the sweet goofy ones, but Nikki just looks so crazy gorgeous couldn't resist..what a fabulous moment captured!

Nikki and Andrew's big day is coming up in October, and we simply can not wait to bring their dog beach wedding to life at Pelican Hill.

Meet our newest addition...

Remember this adorable couple and their sweet engagements we posted a little while back? Well, we are beyond excited that 1/2 of that couple, the gorgeous Carly, is the newest Amorology intern! How lucky are we, that not only do we get to plan the wedding for this beyond creative gal, but also to have her in the office thinking up all sorts of awesome ideas for us!?

Only one day until this adorable couple goes from being engaged to married! I don't know who is more excited us or them because their wedding is going to be killer gorgeous with style for miles!

Luna Photo did an amazing job capturing Lydia + Cote on a beautiful day at the beach. We are thrilled to also have them there for the wedding day-- we know everything they turn their lens on will look stunning!

These two shots are definitely two of our favorites! We can just imagine Lydia breaking into a laugh right after this picture was taken. Such amazingly beautiful moments captured and how can we not mention the incredible lighting in all of these? Perfect!

Another gorgeous one flooded with light--Lydia looks so radiant and breathtaking!

These two have been a dream to work with! We honestly can't relay how genuine and sweet they both are, which is definitely one of the reasons why they are perfect for each other!

We can barely contain our excitement! Tomorrow we are headed off for a weekend in Napa for Danette + Doug's big day!!! They are getting married at the breath takingly beautiful Beaulieu Gardens! Here is a sneak peek at the inspiration behind the big day... there will be touches of glamour, gorgeous peonies, a color palette of coral pink with pops of cheery yellow and elegant accents in greige. Ooh and tons of macaroons! Should be nothing short of fabulous- especially since shooting the wedding is the fabulous Tec Petaja!

If there is one thing we have learned through working with so many brides, it is that each bride is unique and wants that to come across in every detail -- the ring being one of the most important! James + Alex Save The Day

Who said you can't have a good time while you're working!? We sure did this past Saturday at James + Alex's super hero inspired wedding. Honestly any wedding at the New Children's Museum would be a blast, but being a part of James + Alex's big day was incomparable! With the inclusion of a breakaway brick wall, a light saber fight, a cereal bar, and freeze dance; how could this not go down as one of the funnest weddings ever?

Here's the inspiration board we created for the couple and a little peek in to the awesomeness that was James + Alex's wedding!

Oh yes, there were lots of cupcakes (hostess inspired ones, cupcakes topped with cookies, cupcakes drowning in sprinkles...you name they had it!) The brides' bouquet had brightly colored ric-rac intertwined around the flowers, floral arrangements were wrapped with poppy yellow and white chevron fabric, colored pencils were used instead of pens for guests to leave well wishes to the couple, and there was an abundance of super hero love throughout the decor. Jagger Photography was there to capture the night's festivities, so we can't wait to share with you this wild wedding!

It’s hard to believe the Royal Wedding was over a week ago! Even though Kate Middleton’s wedding dress is still all the buzz, did you also catch her sister, Pippa’s, bridesmaid dress? Two words we thought of to describe it? Simply Gorgeous. Slimly fitting her petite figure, it flowed with each step following the bride to be. Some thought white was an “interesting” color choice, but we think she really complimented her sister and only added to the royal wedding elegance.

Doing a bit of a search ourselves, we discovered lovely bridesmaid dresses, similar to that of Pippa’s (without the Alexander McQueen price tag- not all of us are in the Royal Family ;) at David’s Bridal! Here are a few suggestions that we thought would be a great choice to recreate your own Royal Wedding.

Spring has sprung and so has wedding season for us! We had a blast at Jami + Eric's wedding last week and simply can not wait for Alicia + Aaron's soiree this Saturday! As we're gearing up for their wedding and completing all of the final details, we thought we would share a little inspiration behind their day with you!

After getting to know the couple, we learned that they share a love for traveling, the color blue, photography, and the song "Heart was a House" by Owl City. Of course they have a lot of other common interests, but we knew these would translate perfectly into their Leo Carrillo wedding. We played on their favorite song and decided to bring the indoors outside by mixing blue prints, doors, door knobs and keys, into the decor. Oh and a weather vane might make an appearance.... We can't wait to show you a sneak peek of their big day after this weekend!

Strawberry Farms Forever...

Yipee! We are in need of memories of bright, sunshiny days and the promise that Spring is right around the corner. If you are too, then Roselyn and Ben's farm inspired wedding is just the fix! The couple recently had their one year anniversary, so what better time to post details of the sweet soiree!? What makes it even yummier is the fact that it was featured on Green Wedding Shoes !

“Roselyn + Ben’s wedding was centered around happy memories from the couple and of course created more amazing memories for everyone who was involved. Our initial inspiration for the wedding came from some of the bride’s fondest memories, which could be traced back to her time spent on her Grandpa’s farm. We knew that Strawberry Farms in Irvine would be the perfect venue for a gorgeous farm inspired wedding!”

We played around with the farm concept even further by having guests names and seating printed and planted into crates filled with soil. Guests searched through troughs of carrots, sunflowers, strawberries, green beans, raspberries, and heads of lettuce to find what table they would be sitting at.

We also wanted to hint at the bride & groom’s occupations and where their love first started growing, at an elementary school. With this in mind, we designed the table names to encompass their current jobs as teachers, as well as fond childhood memories of their own. Using old pictures from time spent on the farm we played upon simple descriptions like “little brown farmhouse”, “big yellow tractor” and “rusty bucket” for the table names that we created. This helped bring a playful childlike component to the reception.

Handmade “little jam jar favors” with custom labels greeted guests at each place setting. There were of course lots of other fun handmade projects that we brought in to the affair like custom table runners, made by the bride’s mom, that matched the custom cake boxes we created to display the beyond cute cake. Darling little rosettes made by the Pincushion Princess also added a touch of whimsy when attached to the centerpiece wooden crates and the bridesmaids dresses. The wooden crates were filled with gorgeous & lush centerpieces of acacia, kale, roses, ranunculus, cherry blossom, and geranium leaf. The beautiful florals created by Twigg Botanicals helped set the tone for the reception.

Another element that brought some fun to the reception was the vintage inspired sippin’ soda fountain, where we had rows and rows of old-fashioned, brightly bottled sodas and root beer floats for guests to take and enjoy! Guests helped themselves to a “Strawberry Patch” cupcake bar, where we displayed cupcakes adorned with cute strawberry graphics. They were definitely “yum” and “sweet!” Guests were not only treated to sweets, but also the In N’ Out truck, a favorite eatery of the couple’s! Who wouldn’t be happy with a double-double? What really sent the night over the edge with awesomeness was the square dance caller. Sounds crazy, but everyone had a great time trying to “do sa do!”

We can't tell you how excited we were when Alicia + Aaron shared their engagements with us this past week-- it was a wonderful Valentine's surprise!! We are in love with every shot that Trever Hoehne captured of the two. We just want to jump right in them and bathe in all of that glorious sunlight!

Look how sweet these two are!! We've had such a ball planning their upcoming April wedding! We absolutely love that they decided to take their engagements at the Crystal Cove Cottages- what a fun idea!

All of us around the office are a little baby crazy at the moment, since we're looking forward to the arrival of baby number three with great anticipation!!! We were sent these ridiculously adorable shots, that a very imaginative mom captured, and we couldn't resist posting them. You must check out her blog! She is a computer specialist originally from Finland, who creates a wonderful imaginary world, out of whatever she can find around her daughter, all while the little girl sleeps.

Just had our site walk through with Jami + Eric at the San Diego Botanic Gardens last week and it got us super excited for their Spring wedding!! Plus it was the first time we got to meet Eric, who we instantly loved!! How can you not love a guy who's into bird watching and gardening?

We used the gorgeous venue & Eric's passions for our inspiration, while incorporating an awesome color palette thought up by Jami! This board shows what we are envisioning for their big day; binoculars for bird watching, seeds for spreading love, and lots of lush flowers to set the mood....

We never get tired of a nautical inspired wedding- there are just so many different combinations and elements to play with when working with this concept! Brittany was really excited to offer her ideas and together we created a playful, yet romantic sailing theme. Show- stopping bouquet and florals from the lovely Leigh Anne over at the Floral Lab! We loved working with her and seeing her style mesh with ours. The flowers were a mix of succulents, tulips, anemones, roses, dahlias and more- so stylish and gorgeous!

From our first meeting with Nicole & Christian, two things were apparent; their love for each other and their love for dogs! We couldn't resist infusing a little puppy love into their wedding. We got lucky that the couple was game to add such fun elements in the big day!

We had so much fun putting this project together! In lieu of a traditional escort card table we incorporated the couple's love of dogs, and hung individual dog tags for each guest under their assigned table, which of course were also named after breeds of dogs!

Revolving an entire wedding around dogs could easily go in the wrong direction, but we made sure to approach the theme delicately as to not go overboard. We mixed whimsical, Anthropologie inspired graphics with sophisticated table linens in slate and lavender. Brightly Designed did a fantastic job capturing our vision and translating it perfectly into the paper elements.

Being the sweethearts that they are, Nicole and Christian opted to forgo favors and instead donated to the American Cancer Society. Each guest arrived at their seat to find a purple dog bone, which read " We'd love to throw you a bone, but we chose to donate to the American Cancer Society in your name."

We enjoyed picking out the perfect shades of purple candies to incorporate into this custom candy bar! There was even little licorice scottie dogs! The lovely doggie plates that were mounted onto the backdrop were a major inspiration throughout the wedding. We placed touches of the cheery aqua here and there, as well as fashioning most of the paper elements around the graphics on the plate.

Little "doggie bags" with custom labels were provided for guests to take home some of the delicious sweets.

Even more sugary goodness! The sweet looking cake and cupcakes, adorned with tiny lavender florets, were all from Elaine and her stellar staff over at Sweet Cheeks. Of course it was beyond delicious, we wouldn't expect anything less from these ladies!

Absolutely love the purple uplighting; it really set the mood for dancing : ) Tim Altbaum Productions did a great job DJing and getting everyone out on the dance floor!

Engaging: Jami + Eric

We're getting sleepy just thinking about all the turkey we're gonna eat tomorrow! But before we scamper off to celebrate our Thanksgiving, we want to share these beyond adorable engagements courtesy of Joielala Photographie!

Things we are thankful for...our lovely couples! We love our couples so much and Jami + Eric are no exception. In fact we even adore the story of how these two lovebirds met!

Eric's mom actually met Jami first since they both taught at the same school. She kept telling Jami about Eric, but they never got the chance to meet, since Jami left to teach at another school. Eric's mom took matters into her own hands and got Jami's number when she came back to visit. Eric called Jami a week later and they have been together ever since!

Jami is just so gorgeous! Can't get over how happy these two look together. We've had so much fun putting together the details of their botanical and bird watching inspired wedding and know it's only going to get better : )

How can you forget their date now!? We can't wait to share in their big day in April at the San Diego Botanic Garden! Congrats you two!
